When the COVID-19 pandemic struck our nation forcing us all into the lockdown, a safe and decent home became even more important. For the last 37 years, Habitat India’s vision has been to build a world where everyone has a decent place to live. While housing is at the heart of everything we do, Habitat India has been sensitising and raising awareness on the importance of hygiene and sanitation through our WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) program.
Now, as the country implements unprecedented measures amidst the global health emergency of COVID-19, we are supporting families and individuals by providing them with Hygiene and Family Essential Kits.
Amidst the lockdown, people who are affected the most are the migrant workers, commercial sex workers, daily wage earners, people living with disability, adivasi and other vulnerable communities who have no safety net to fall back on. Habitat India has supported 13, 22,871 individuals through our various interventions for the Covid Care Response. The need is immense and every helping hand needs to be deployed to support these families in this time of crisis.
We have come-up with a collection of different artwork from multiple artists with the help of our partner Alliancef Art in support of Habitat India’s COVID-19 Pandemic Response.The collection will be displayed online on Alliancef Art, a platform that connects buyers and sellers from across the world.
